Drone Spraying & Spreading for

Farms & Forestry

Drones are known for their accuracy and more targeted application of either liquids through our 50L spray tank or granules through our 50kg Spreader attachment.

Agricultural Spraying

Pest & Weed control:

  • Gorse, Blackberry, Broom, Pampas, Thistles, Pasture weeds and many more! Have you got areas that you can’t get to with your sprayer? Drones have the ability to reach any area of your farm to accurately apply herbicides.

  • With GPS mapping we can share with you the areas sprayed once the job is done.

Riparian Plantings:

  • Whether you are after an initial spray out of the riparian planting area or releasing your young trees from the competing overgrown grass we can help!

  • It has become regulation to fence off any waterways within your farm, some requiring a 3m buffer on each side. This buffer zone is best to be planted out in natives. Swamp areas are also being fenced off and converted to native plantings.  -  What could take you all day spraying from a bike or tractor we could do in a fraction of the time using our Drone to cover the areas you need.

Cropping:

  • Army worm, Slugs, Crickets, Caterpillars, Willow weed and many other problem weeds and pests found within your crop can be eliminated quickly and efficiently before a loss in production takes place.

  • We are able to change over to our spreader attachment very easily so can cover a granular and spray application concurrently.

  • Where the Drone excels is in crop areas up to 20ha. Our ability to adjust the droplet size on the run means we can optimise spray applications to suit each individual task.

  • In times when it’s too wet to get onto your crops for spraying pest or weed infestations the Drone can quickly and cost efficiently solve this problem.

  • Using Variable rate technology and eliminating areas of crop that do not require treatment can greatly reduce the cost of pest control this can all be done in the field so real time decisions can be utilised.

Pest & Weed control:

  • Desiccation of areas to allow planting to take place.

  • These applications can be timed to meet the best outcomes for the planters and the survival of the new plants.

  • Release sprays  - Using selective herbicides we can release spray areas to eliminate undesirable and invasive species. These can include grass only sprays to help suppress grasses such as Pampas and Kikuyu in plantations or broad leaf sprays which can help control Inkweed, Nightshade etc. There are often solutions to the problem - Get in touch and we can chat about how we can help.

Agricultural Spreading

Fertiliser:

  • Spread Urea and other fertilisers easily onto pasture or cropland. These applications are not only quick and easy there is no damage to the crop and very accurate spreading uniformity.

  • Fly from a central point so there are no gates to open or access issues to worry about.

  • No spread/spray areas can be identified to help reduce wastage and reduce costs.

  • Variable rate applications can be made in certain situations to help reduce costs. help.

Slug and Cricket baits:

  • Spread baits onto new grass or crops easily and with no damage to the crop.

  • 4kg/ha application rates for slug bait onto new grass are made very quickly.

seed spreading:

  • We have various sized feed augers to allow us to spread all types of seed and products.

  • Oversow rye/clover into pasture pre winter to help improve pasture volumes and vigour through winter and into spring.

  • Spread pasture mix onto bare/open ground, cut over forestry or scrubby bush blocks to help establish pasture for grazing.

  • Spread native seed to help re-establish native bush.
